With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we see panicked shoppers desperately trying to recall what it was their other-half pointed at the last time they went window shopping; or that present which delivers your message perfectly – whether it’s “I love you”, “marry me” or “you’re the best thing that happened to my life”.
So, you’ve racked your brain but are still drawing blanks, our advice? As cliché as it sounds, flowers and chocolates can never be wrong. That is, if you sprinkle just the right amount of creativity in the delivery process.
  1. Colours matter: mix and match different shades of reds and pinks to show that you’ve put extra thought into this gift.
  2. Surprise your other-half when they’re least expecting it. If you’ve sent a gift to their workplace before, try surprising them at home right when they walk through the door.
  3. Chocolates are proven to fire happy neurotransmitters to the brain, making your package extra meaningful. Create a bigger parade with your floral delivery by throwing in chocolates, balloons or presents!
  4. Take the hassle out of unwrapping the bouquet, locating a complementing vase in the apartment and reorganising the flowers. Be thoughtful: throw in a vase so you can get straight into your special Valentine’s Day date.
